Lake Cleaning
We will not be a position to carry out any cleaning of the model yacht lake this year - we will ensure that the licences are in place for us to carry out the works next February.
Can you please make your members aware of this; in the meantime we will continue to maintain the water levels within the lake as full as possible.
We will not be carrying out similar works to the Boating Lake either, although we are in discussion with them to carry out the works later in the year.

Fleetwood Now has A Laser Fleet
Fleetwood RC Laser is the newest RC Laser fleet in the North West. Last year it was decided to adopt the RC Lasers as one of its classes to be raced within the club.

It is the clubs intention in the first season of the Laser Fleet to hold sailing every alternate Sunday except when it conflicts with other organized North West Laser sailing dates and venues that had been previously scheduled.
Fleetwood Model Yacht and Power Boat Club have the following main activities during the sailing Season.
Schooners racing
We have thriving schooner, fleet that sails very Wed Afternoon The majority of the boats have either been built from scratch or on redundant class racing yacht hulls. They make excellent boats and look extremely well either on their own or in a Fleet.
One metre Sailing Tuesday Evening and some week ends
Mustang Racing
Like a big laser single sail one design Fleetwood club only.
Come and see on a Tuesday afternoon. No new boats available now but secondhand boats are not expensive and someboats may be available for sale within the Club. A good fast fun sailor
Vane Sailing
Mainly scheduled weekend dates for open meetings Mablehead's and A class Boats. If you want to try this interesting and exciting class

Power & Power Scale.
There is considerable interest in the club in building and sailing model power boats. It covers a wide range of themes encompassing all model power boat activities. |
