Our fleet captain was stricken with Maltese Flu so yours truly took on the honour. We started with a disappointingly weak easterly wind, after predictions of 13 mph, so races were a bit slow. After 4 races the wind veered to a westerly but still just a breath and it took us two and a half hours to lunch time to complete 8 races. Turnout started low with just five skippers but eventually reached the dizzy heights of nine before dropping to seven for the last few races. After lunch the wind picked up somewhat and we achieved 8 more races in an hour and a half. Garry B took the honours and the three discards let John P take second place despite being late for the first four races.
