As there was an RG 65 event on at Birkenhead, and some had other engagements, only four skippers turned up for the early morning start, and were greeted with only a slight blow, but as the day went on the wind picked up and some good racing was had. David Foster joined us at lunchtime and we continued on in what was a lovely warm sunny day.
Different courses were set as the wind changed, mainly sausage and the odd triangle. Dave Burke and Richard Clarke left early afternoon, leaving three skippers who decided to carry on, and it was around 3.45pm when we called it a day, having completed fourteen races for the event, with Chris Chatfield taking the honours for the day.
