We arrived at the lake in bright early morning sunshine, but alas no wind, so we had a brew and waited to see what might happen, about 50 mins later the breeze got up enough for our A rig, and we were soon on the water. A+ rig and it would have been sooner, but that argument is for another day.
Disappointingly only 3 of us (there must have been something going on somewhere else), it was a shame because it turned out to be a good day of racing, at an easy pace, we took our time in the beautiful weather, and enjoyed 11 races before the breeze left us, and we had no option but to call it a day at about 3pm.
John took the honours just by a point.
Thanks to Peter for race officer duties, he also took the club boat out, to wash off the cobwebs and check her over. The boat goes really well, and is always available at a 65 event for anybody to have a try.
Our next 65 event is on Thurs 24th at 6.30pm.
