8th August 2019
A bright sunny evening greeted the eleven sailors who turned out, in what were very calm conditions, and A+ was the sail of choice.
We set out with a triangular shaped course, and after a couple of races tinkered with it to make it a little bit more interesting, and eight races were had in the time.
John’s night was spoilt with a winch problem half way through, and that left the rest of us to fight it out for second spot, as Garry was once again on song, and took the honours with four bullets in his tally.
With only three points separating 2nd to 5th place, shows that the runner up spot could have gone either way, and it all depended on the finishes in the last race. Eric took the win with Bob second and Steve third, that extra point for Bob over Steve was just enough.
So even though we didn`t have the best conditions for sailing, we made the best of it, and overall I think we had some very good racing.
Our next outing for the 65 is on 15th August 6.30pm.
