There was only going to be one winner this week, out of the disappointing turnout of only four skippers, and that was John with his consistent sailing taking six bullets in his tally, leaving the rest of us to fight it out for the other places.
With a westerly light breeze, all of us on A sail, a triangular shape course was set, and with Derek our race officer, eight races were had in the time.
Eric put in some good finishes and came a deserved runner up, Walter unfortunately had some transmitter problems, but did well to keep racing and took third spot, ahead of Bob.
So a poor turnout once again, and very disappointing that only four out of the thirty or so boats registered at the club turn out.
That said we will try again next week on Thursday 3rd Sept 6.30pm start, when it is the last evening event of the year for the 95.
