9th November 2019
Our start to the new season saw nine skippers turning out on what was a damp, cold, overcast afternoon. With an Easterly breeze, a triangular shape course was set, and eight races were had in our time.
Early problems for Darren with servo trouble saw his day spoilt, and Ken too with a leak meant he had to retire half way through to investigate. The rest of us got through unscathed and enjoyed some good competitive racing.
With John and Garry in good form, it was always going to be between those two who got the honours, and it went down to the last race to decide the winner, John taking the day overall by a point. A mention for Steve who had a good days sail, and took third spot respectively.
Many thanks to Ian who kindly did the scoring.
So that’s it we are off and running and look forward to our next outing which is on Sat 7th December with a 1pm start.
