Jim Rose Bowl round 1 and 2

SUNDAY

Greeted with a warmer calmer day. Starting at 9:30 to get sailing done and dusted before the yachting section AGM. 8 races completed utilising the length of the lake thin time in a solid A rig.

.The racing was competitive and well natured. Mark sailing his Britpop dominated the racing taking 6 wins despite a temperamental jib leech line.

John and Chris having a good fight behind with Eric and Harry. A range of designs and some good sailing.

SATURDAY

The Jim Rose Bowl got of to a pretty wild start on Saturday. Whit horses rolling down the lake leading to B Rigs being put on. True fleetwood.

11 boats competing, one dropout on the start line Mark (Alioth) as he managed to pull the pot out as the tape went on. Sharon started the racing but unfortunately developed a hull crack.

The sailing was competitive with Olly taking the early winch until a wonky winch derailed his day.

This allowed Peter Guest with his Vision the opportunity to take advantage taking the win and Rnd 1 sailing very well in wild wins. a special mention to Harry, ever improving and taking a second place. Paul Middleton sailing his Alternative making up his podium with consistent sailing
