We have been sailing both these classes since they were introduced and now have over 30 skippers in each fleet. Skills vary from very competent to complete novice; all are welcome. If you have any questions or want to come and join us, either head down on one of the club’s nights (see calendar) or have a word with our Class Captains:

DF65 – Bob Jolly

email: bobjolly7@sky.com    tel: 01253 877478

 DF95 – Michael Benson

email: spikelvaughan@aol.com   tel: 07877779044

  • Please use the contact form to send a message to Bob or Micheal.

Skippers should acquire registered sail numbers which must be displayed on the mainsail on the original sails or on both jib and mainsails, according to the DF Rules, on replacement sail sets.

New skippers will be allowed to race on provision that sail numbers are obtained a.s.a.p.

Sail numbers are obtained from the DF Class Association by registering (for free) click here

We will split the Tuesday and Thursday events into three seven week periods and award first and second prizes with two awards based on the whole season. The Saturday events will be a separate series.

Winners will be determined by using a skipper’s best scores for fifty per cent of the total number of races in the award period. This ensures that skippers who join part way through will have an opportunity to win and also will not penalize skippers who miss some sessions for whatever reason.

Guest skippers are very welcome but each guest will be limited to 3 events, according to club rules. To continue racing the guest should join the club.

Races will run according to the SSI rules of the Model Yacht Association.
