15/06 – IOM Pop up event to be organised
There were 15 entries representing the following Clubs:
Fleetwood, Gosport, Hampton Court, Leeds & Bradford, Levenhall and the Vintage Model Yacht Group.
On both days the wind was extremely light from the North at race commencement, then gradually increasing in strength blowing from the N West, giving ideal top suit sailing conditions, with most skippers starting to use spinnakers.

A glorious nights sailing, although the wind was light and at times flukey

There were only 4 entries today as some of our skippers were racing R/C yachts at away venues, and others were still on holiday.
The wind was light, so all yachts were in top suits. Initially the wind was from the SE, giving tricky conditions. The first round was completed before lunch, then at restart the wind had changed right round and blowing from the W, giving a 3 or 4 tack beat to the W end of the lake. After the first heat of round 2, the wind strength dropped almost to nil and became quite variable in direction. However, the second round was completed by 4-00 pm.
Results
1st Peter Whiteside 25 points
2nd Peter Guest 18
3rd Alan Crawforth 9
4th Tony Wilson 8,
Thanks are due to Paul Fishwick for scoring and to Bob Jolly and new recruit,Terry Reed for manning the Mates Bank.
Low on numbers again….where are you all? DF65s only had three entrants so was turned into a practice session. DF95s were won by Chris Howarth
