VANE 36R LEVER CUP 15TH AUGUST 2026

The entry was lower than usual due to holidays and some choosing to enter an IOM Ranking Event at Keighley. The wind was strong and from the NW. Most yachts were in their 2nd suits.

During Heat 3 of round 1, Olly was at the starting berth for the windward board when he noticed the mast had become loose at deck level so needed to be repaired. The other pair of yachts completed their heat 3 so lunch break was taken whilst Olly did repairs.

After lunch Olly sailed his beat, but further damage to his yacht occurred and he was unable to sail the return run and decided to withdraw. The remaining 3 yachts sailed Round 2 as a 3 boat schedule.
